What Makes You Eligible?
You can join the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States if you have served honorably or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces in a war, campaign, expedition on foreign soil or in hostile waters, verified by any of the following:
- An authorized campaign or expeditionary medal, ribbon, badge, or insignia
- Received Hostile Fire Pay or Imminent Danger Pay
- Served 30 consecutive or 60 nonconsecutive days in Korea
auxiliary membership
Established in 1925, the VFW Auxiliary honors the sacrifices of those who served by supporting veterans, military personnel and their families. One of the nation’s oldest veterans’ service organizations, our members are relatives of those who served overseas.
Social / canteen membership
Designed for supporters who wish to back veterans and military families but do not meet the military service or direct family lineage requirements for standard post or auxiliary membership.
Access: Full access to post facilities, canteen, and member-only social events.
Impact: Annual dues directly fund local veteran support programs, community outreach, and facility maintenance.
Involvement: Opportunities to volunteer for post fundraisers, dinners, and service projects.
